This list contains some of my favorites. They are travel pieces and stories I reread because the phrases have come together in a way that recalls for me a moment, a place, or a person better than mere memories can. It’s as if I’ve never read the piece before, never wrote it.
The order of posting is not personal preference; although I sometimes reread the first five and enjoy them as if someone else wrote them and I had never seen them before. Maybe it’s just age.
